Each result is drawn as R = max(1, 0.99 / U) with U uniform on (0, 1). You win when R ≥ your target T, which happens with probability 0.99 / T:

Target times win chance equals 0.99 at every row — the house edge is a flat 1% however high you aim. The last column is the one to internalise: a 1,000× target means a thousand-round average drought, and averages include much longer ones.

What is the difference between Limbo and Crash?
Mathematically nothing — both draw from the max(1, 0.99/U) distribution with a 1% edge. Limbo resolves instantly against a pre-declared target, while Crash animates the result and lets you cash out live. Same odds, different psychology.
Is there a maximum target?
Here you can type any target up to 1,000,000×. The maths holds all the way up: a million-times target wins about once per 1.01 million rounds. Real casinos usually cap the payout, not the target.
Why did I lose at a 1.10× target several times in a row?
A 90% win chance still loses one round in ten, so two consecutive losses happen about once per hundred rounds — and you play hundreds fast in Limbo. High hit rate never means safe.
Does a low target build profit slowly but surely?
No. Every target has the same −1% expectation, so low targets just lose slowly and smoothly instead of quickly and lumpily. "Surely" is exactly what the maths rules out.
