How to Play Dice for Free

A number between 0.00 and 99.99 is drawn; if it lands on your side of the target, you are paid the multiplier shown before you rolled. Drag the slider and watch the two numbers trade against each other. Roll under 90 wins 90% of the time and pays a meagre 1.10×. Roll under 10 wins one time in ten and pays 9.90×. Every position multiplies out to the same expected return of 99%, which makes dice the one casino game where the house edge is not merely disclosed but displayed, live, before every single bet. The Real Dice Maths
The payout is 99 / win chance, where the win chance in percent equals the target (rolling under) or 100 minus the target (rolling over):

A fair game would pay 100/chance; the missing single point of the numerator is the house edge, applied identically at every slider position. Note that a 50/50 roll pays 1.98× rather than 2× — the same shave that a fair coin-flip should make famous.

Why does a 50% bet pay 1.98× and not 2×?
That 0.02 is the house edge made visible. Fair odds on a coin flip are 2×; paying 1.98× means the game keeps 1% of all money wagered over time. Every slider position is shaved by the same proportion.
Is roll over better than roll under?
No — they are mirror images. Over 40 and under 60 are the identical bet: 60% chance, 1.65× payout. The toggle exists for comfort, not for advantage.
Do betting systems like Martingale work on dice?
They change the shape of your results, not the sign. Doubling after losses produces many small winning sessions and occasional catastrophic ones; the long-run average stays −1% of turnover. Test any system here for free before believing it.
